Idaho Trip, Part 3

On Thursday, My best buddies from Pocatello (track team) came up to Rupert to see me. We hung out at the Drif Inn and had dinner and lots of fun. Mary, Tim, Dana, and Meg all met us there as well. I am so happy that they all came to see me. I miss these girls so much. Love you guys!

Erin, Christina, and Me

Raul and Meg (we went to her and Dana's wedding on Sat.)

Me and Dana (the groom)

Crazy Lana and Jackie

Christina said that the side pictures like this are really cute...sure!

Saturday as I said, was Dana and Meg's wedding. It was so pretty. They had it in their backyard on the Snake River. They did such a great job with decorations and detail. It was nice to see all of the Rupert gang. We got to meet one of Raul's close childhood friend Alonzo's girlfriend Stacy. She was really nice so we pretty much hung out with them at the wedding. My favorite part of the wedding besides the ceremony was when we danced to DJ Rage's club music. It was fun. Raul found a new move called the stomp.

It was so wonderful to catch up with everyone on our trip. I also got to see my friend Kasey and her little boy Peyton. I can't believe how great of a mom she is. She has always been wonderful and nurturing with her horses but it can be different with a human and she has taken the mother role and excelled beyond belief. Love you Kase.

I miss Idaho everyday but I am happy to be here in California experiencing new things. My friends and family are very precious to me and I know that they will always be there. Thanks Idaho for all of the great memories and please protect my loved ones up there.

Boise, Part 2

I have pretty much been the world's biggest slacker. I have been lazy about posting and pretty much my life. It is a new day, summer is over, and I am ready to get back into a rythm. It seems like I am always planning for a new event. Well the next big event for me is the PF Changs Rock'n Roll Marathon in January. My dad and I are going to do it together. I have 20 weeks until the big day and I am so scared. But it is a wonderful thing that my dad and I can do together....it is pretty much going to be the biggest sufferfest I have ever experienced. Live with no regrets...right?! So stay tuned for updates on my training.

I wanted to post a few pictures of our zoo trip on my birthday up in Boise.

Idaho Adventure: Part 1, Boise

Our vacation started off with a bang! We (Raul) drove through the night on Wednesday to surprise Raul's family a day early in Boise. We were so excited to finally be there and I got to meet Hendrix (Neeka and Brian's little boy). Pretty much just love him! We had a lot of fun. I also got to see a lot of Boise that I had never seen before and visit my friend Sara.
On Saturday, we celebrated my birthday by going to the ZOO and having a BBQ. I really like just getting out and seeing new places and doing new things. And it was nice to visit with the whole family. I got some really awesome gifts from everyone. Mary got both Neeka and I "New Moon". It is fun because all of the girls are reading it and we talk about it all the time.
This was about 20 min after we got to Boise....14 hour drive!

Wickedly Surprised

Boy oh boy did I get a surprise on Saturday. Raul surprised me with tickets to see the musical "Wicked" at the Pantageous theater for my birthday. The show was amazing. For those of you who don't know much about it, it is the version of the untold story of the wicked witch of the west from the Wizard of Oz. I recommend that everyone sees it. Raul that was a wonderful birthday gift and I love you so much! Thank you.

Oh! P.S. We leave for Idaho in 3 days!!

X-Games and more

Last weekend Raul had a big long Day-date planned for us: X-Games and a concert at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Well a few years ago Raul worked at both the summer and winter X-games. So since I've known Raul he has always talked about it. I never really knew how cool it was until I experienced being there. It was sooooo cool. My little brother Kevin would have loved it. It was at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. It is so crazy watching the flips and jumps. I never realized that these people doing this stuff are totally talented athletes. I now have a new respect for extreme sports. I am now a fan!
So after we pigged out at Chile's we headed up to party like rock stars and rock our faces off watching the Ringers at the House of Blues. Raul's friend John invited us to watch one of his buddies who is the lead singer of the Ringers, Joe Hursley. He has also been in a few movies (Accepted and Broken)and is White-Gold in the got milk commercials. John was so crazy jumping around like a little monkey when the Ringers were playing. It was strait up "in your face rock and roll." Anyway...we rocked our faces off! It was such a fun and full of new experiences weekend. Thanks Raul for the coolest date.
