Weekend to Remeber

The weekend of the Marathon I spent a few days with my best friends. Kelly is going to be going to Chile for a year and she had all of us over for dinner and pictionary. The only person who was missing was Raul :(. Kelly's dad Dave made us a wonderful dinner with stuffed mushrooms (Katie's favorite). We had a lot of laughs. I had the greatest friends. I am going to miss Kelly so much. She flies out Feb. 2nd. Kelly, I love you and hope that your new adenture brings hope, joy and great experiences.

Marathon/Phx. Wrap Up

The day before the race we had to go downtown to pick up our packets which were full of fun info, race number, t-shirt and more. Then you have the option of seeing the fitness expo. It is a bunch of vendors selling the new models of energy bars, drinks, shoes, apparel, etc. I got some shorts there that had six different pockets for my GUs. This is a picture of just the back half. There were over 60,000 people running just the half. I think there were about 10,000 doing the full. The next picture is from the morning of. I was pretty nervous, sorry it is a little dark. My mom took it.



After the race we went over to the Library on Mill to watch the Cards beat the Eagles. I can't believe that they are really going to the Super Bowl. I haven't been following them since Jake Plummer left so now I wish that I had been but for what it is worth....Go Cards!
When my dad suggested running the Marathon, he said, "I just want to be able to say that I have ran a Marathon. We will run this and that is it." Well guess what: We are going to run the one in Seattle this summer. Well anyway after the game we headed to Pima. It was so nice to see my mom, grandma and the boys. Everyone is doing so well. Elliot is going to school at Central Arizona College where he is on the track team. Marcus is at EAC and Kevin is a freshy fresh at Pima. Grandma is doing really well she is staying there for about 6 weeks b/c it is so much warmer there than Indiana. It was a GREAT weekend! I look forward to many more.

Arizona Trip

I am so grateful for the sunshine in AZ! This weekend has been very eventful and full of great memories. We finished the marathon with lots of pain and a great big smile. It was something that my dad and I were determined to do together. I will cherish this experience with him and hope to do another one....maybe. :)

I flew in to AZ a few days before the race to soak up some vitamin D and spend some time with my very best friends. I have more pictures on my camera but I will have to post them when I get back to Seattle.

Health and Happiness Blog

Well I think that it is finally time for me to get back in the saddle and stay updated on my Health and Happiness blog. I just posted two entries and I hope they help ya'll out.

Too Much to Post About the last month of 2008

I love blogging but I am so behind. My biggest goal right now is to find a job and I have high hopes but when I have the chance to get on the intenet my priority is to job hunt. Fortunately I get wireless right now so I will update ya'll on the news in our lives. Christmas in Boise was fantastic and I hope you enjoyed the pictures of that.

Tim and Mary drove back to Seattle with Raul and I after Christmas. The roads were not too bad but still scary for an AZ gal. We did a lot of fun things while Tim and Mary were here. We went downtown to Pike's Place Market, Clumbia Center (basically an arial view of the city), watched UW beat Montana (Tim accidently wore Montana colors to the game), worked out, ate, watched Step Brothers and Children of Men, Toured the University and rang in the new year in style by doing raw oyster shooters at Ivars and watching the fireworks explode off of the Space Needle at a park about 1/4 of a mile away from our house. Thanks Tim and Mary for such a fun week!

Raul is back to the gring of what he loves....coaching track. The indoor season should be really exciting and I am really looking forward to it. Go Dawgs!

The new year for me is full of optimism, health, happiness and great hope for a job. The marathon is only a few weeks away and I am really excited to go back to AZ. Hope that your new year is full of just as much excitement as mine. Peace out!
