Last night we talked to Raul's mom and she told us that Hendrix is just the cutest baby you have ever seen. This is the first grand baby that is human, the others have been dogs so he is guaranteed to be super cute. All he does right now is look at things I am expecting a full vocabulary and sign language by the end of May:).
Track has been keeping me super busy. Raul and I haven't spent a weekend together since the first of March. We expect that in the spring but honestly, I would like a bit of a break. We have a meet today that is up in Pasadena and our last meet was pretty awesome. My girls work so hard and I am so proud of them. I coach every event but pole vault and distance so my afternoons are full of jumping, hurdling, relays, etc. I am pretty lucky to have three people on staff to help me though.
So I have some really cool news...Raul and I are going to climb Mt. Whitney (2nd tallest Mt. in the US, behind Mt. McKinley in Alaska). I think it is like over 14,000 ft. SO...we have to train for it. We are going to go with some friends who have a permit. I have been running this week (up to 6 miles) and we want to try to go for some kind of long hike up in Monrovia Canyon Falls (over by Pasadena) . I am also going to try to log my miles for the week. I want to get to ten...4 more by Sunday!!! I am really looking forward to the climb and I am really looking forward for it to being done so I can say..."I climbed the highest Mt. in the upper 48!"

Well life is sounding pretty exciting. For a second I thought you were going to say you two were getting married. But I was wrong, hiking one of the tallest mountains is pretty exciting too. Hope everything is good.
Wow..you go girl. I wish I had your spunk for doing adventurous things. Sounds like you guys have been crazy busy. Hopefully it will slow down soon. I am glad that your track team is doing so good. Good luck with the training for your climb. Have a great day. TAlk to ya soon.
