Back to Normal?

At least for this Sunday. Raul had an exciting weekend over in Iowa with NCAA Nationals with his award and his athlete finishing 5th in the 200m. I can't believe it. You know last year this time, we didn't even know what we were going to do and where we were going to be....and just look at what has happened in just one year. WOW! Raul is coming home tonight which I am really happy about and so our Sunday will be pretty laid back. But then.....Summer camp begins bright and early Monday morning: 7:00 am. Am I excited? Sure, who wouldn't be excited to hang out down by the water....what a life huh? Actually it is going to be really crazy in my world...there will be nothing normal about it and Raul will probably br a lot less stressed because school is out and the season is over. Well deserved though.

Mt. Whitney is only 5 weeks away. I have been trying to get into shape but I still think I might die up there. I am totally excited because my new sleeping bag, camlepack (for the summit), and my new headlamp came in the mail this past week. I am completely camp illiterate but I am working on it. I am really excited about my head lamp...everyone should own one.

This picture is me and Marcus a couple summers ago. I think we were doing a rap performance for my mom in the kitchen or something. Notice the spoon microphone. I just thought it would be fun to show it. I miss my brothers so much. I need to come back to Pima and visit soon. Love you guys!!!

YEAH Raul

I just wanted to let everyone know that Raul was awarded Assistant Coach of the Year for the West Region. For those of you who don't know who is in the west region...Pac 10, Big SKy, Big West, WAC....I am so proud of him and all of his amazing accomplishments. I know that picture isn't that clear but it is all we got. Unfortunately, I was not able to go out to Iowa for NCAA Nationals but I was happy to get some kind of picture of Raul with his award. Proud of you Babe and good luck to CSULB!

Soul Mate

I just wanted to post a picture of my good friend Sara. We claim to be "Soul Mates." We were in Graduate School together. This is of us last summer in Idaho Falls. We had a lot of fun. She lives over in Boise now and I wish that we could see each other more. She is a great friend and I is always there for me. We have been through a lot together and we both know that we were destined to become soul mates.

Girl Scout Life

I have been a bit of a crazy blogger today...not that I don't have anything to do....I am just super fast at all my work today. Don't worry summer starts soon!!! I just wanted you to see where I will be spending some of my summer. We have property (the Girl Scouts) down by the water. We have summer camp there. Oh my gosh, beautiful!

Stuff I Need before summer starts

So I have been contemplating about things that I really need before the summer starts...for me summer doesn't really start until June 29th. The first thing is a bike. Gas is ridiculous right now and I just don't want to spend $50 to fill up my tank. I live about 6 miles away from work and it wouldn't be too bad. Plus I would always get some kind of workout in. The other thing that I want is a wine rack...free standing. When I walk into the house I don't really have a place for my purse and I don't want to set it on the Kitchen table....so the wine rack can function in two ways. The third is my bed. I want to get a new bed set....I really want a whole new bedroom set but lets be honest that might be too much but I could at least get a new bed and then decorate from there. Our bedroom is so blah....It needs a make over. Any suggestions for bed stuff?

10 Things I love about Idaho

Idaho is one of my favorite places that I have ever been and lived in and I just wanted to share why I love it so much!
1. Idaho State Track and Field
2. Love the outdoor activities that it provides
3. Some of my best friends live up there...Kasey, Lana, Erin, Tina, Jackie.
4. Tubing on and down the Snake River.
5. Housing is really cheap as well as so much more.
6. Raul's family lives there
7. The summers are AWESOME
8. Health Education is on the rise
9. The people are so nice and friendly
10. Pretty much just love it...and you can't help what you love.

I can think of a bunch more things about Idaho but I don't want to bore you. Just want to get the point across that it is awesome!

Pictures

This is Sugar's famous pose. It isn't very lady like but she looks so dang cute.
You know when you want to take a cute picture and your boyfriend decides to make a grumpy face. Neeka totally knows what I mean....but here is Raul looking like he doesn't want to take the picture.
This is what happens when we wake up in the morning and eat breakfast then come back into the bedroom to find the kids snug as a bug in a rug.
