I think that I have finally recovered from Mt. Whitney. I was really sore in my calves. It felt like I had tennis balls in there. And now it is back to the grind (work) and the countdown begins for our next vacation spot....IDAHO! Raul is up there this weekend. He surprised his family and flew in on Wednesday. I am so happy that he got to go up there and see them. I wish that I could be there too! But someone has to hold down the fort.
So the weekend before we went on our big hike, Raul and I drove to Phoenix to switch vehicles. My parents said that they had a surprise for me....welll....it was! I walked out of the hotel room and there it was....clean, new, and beautiful. My new CAR. My parents are so awesome. Instead of switching cars with my mom, they just went and picked out a brand new one for me. It is so much fun to drive and I finally have a cd player. I still had a tape deck and you bet your right eye, I still had mixed TAPES. Elliot is going to get my old car, '95 Altima. My parents gave her a new paint job and I believe new tires. I hope that Elliot has just as much fun in it as I did. It is hard to give up a car that you have had for 5 years. I mean it has been with me all the way through college. But times are changin' and I am rolling in style. Thanks mom and dad!
